About Me

For nearly two decades, my husband and I have proudly called Douglas County home. We are raising our last two daughters here in Castle Rock. As a wife, mother, and local teacher, my daily life revolves around service to our community.

My background is in early American history and government. Long before teaching first grade, I was a history major and a social studies teacher. I operate on a research-driven mindset, and want to understand every side, with all the facts and implications. I don't rely on heresy or the viral claims in our face every day.

My philosophy is rooted in foundational principles. We should live within our means and protecting hard-earned tax dollars. Defending individual liberties should always be a priority. Our local government should be lean, transparent, and lazer focused on local issues that actually matter in our day to day lives.

Local municipal office is non-partisan for a reason. Broad national political platforms don't repave local streets, manage traffic on Prarie Hawk or Coachline, or keep our towns budget balanced. We don't need national political noise at Town Hall. We need neighbors who are willing to work together to find common sense solutions for all of Castle Rock.

I don't claim to be an expert in city planning, water renewability, or policing. I am not a civil engineer, and I have never been a contractor. However, I am a really good at talking to the experts, putting together complex information, and laying it out in a way that makes sense. I am setting up meetings directly with our civil engineers, town staff, and police command staff to get the actual facts and numbers behind recent decisions and hot topics.

I am not a career politician looking for a stepping stone. I am a teacher, a neighbor, and a practical problem-solver who is ready to get to work. I am a mom who wants Castle Rock to remain an amazing place to live for my own family and yours!
